Dear Parishioners and Community Members,
 
With the assistance of our committee members, parish ministries, supporters, and volunteers, it is my great pleasure to present the ninth annual St. Henry’s Summer Fest.  In celebration of St. Henry’s feast day, this year’s Summer Fest will be held on Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14 from 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm. 

St. Henry’s Summer Fest is our parish’s premier fundraising event, an outdoor food and music festival showcasing the diversity and unique culture of the St. Henry community.  The array of delicious food served at St. Henry’s Summer Fest is homemade, prepared by various ministry group members and parishioner families.  This is complemented by live music, dance, raffles, prizes, and fun activities for all ages.

The fund raised from events such as the Summer Fest is used to pay for primarily parish operational expenses, and secondarily two major plumbing projects (estimated at $185,000), a parking lot expansion (estimated at $320,000).  For context, we raised $46,661 at last year’s Summer Fest, which helped to pay part of the cost of the reconstruction of our church entrance.

I encourage every family, friend, and community member to support our goal by buying or selling as many St. Henry’s Summer Fest raffle tickets as you can.  A book of 10 tickets costs $100.00, or $10.00 per ticket.  Any individual or business that buys a book of 10 raffle tickets will receive 1 bonus ticket.  If each family buys or sells a book of 10 tickets, we’ll raise $80,000, meeting our goal for this year’s raffle.

1. The raffle ticket drawing will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois on Sunday, July 14, 2019. All tickets must be received by the drawing date to be eligible for the drawing. Participants under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian to be eligible.

2. If not present at the drawing, the winners will be notified by phone, mail, or email.

3. All winners must claim their prize within 60 days or their prize will be forfeited.
